Study in Canvas: Leyendecker

The best way to learn from your heroes (especially if they're dead) is to copy them.

[left] is a portion of Leyendecker's work I found online (unedited) and [right] my attempt to copy it using Photoshop. I traced the basic silhouette, everything else was done free hand with the image at the left side. I did get a little lazy with that weird rose on her chest.
